Our Deputy Leader Matt Richter has been active across the riding this spring! From stakeholder meetings to grassroots events, Matt continues to listen, speak up, and stand with our communities.
- Spotlight: Parry Sound Mega-SchoolThe proposed consolidation of Parry Sound schools has raised community concerns about accessibility, funding transparency, and long-term impact on students. Matt and local Greens have penned a letter to Education Minister and created a petition to be raised at Queen’s Park by GPO Leader Mike Schreiner opposing this plan and supporting the community’s alternative that puts students first.
- Community Living MonthMay is Community Living Month—an important reminder that inclusion, dignity, and support for people with disabilities must be core values in our public policy. We’re proud to stand with Community Living organizations in their advocacy for equity and opportunity.

🚨 Life with Ford
Doug Ford’s latest legislation, Bill 5, threatens to strip away decades of environmental protections. It gives the provincial government sweeping powers to bypass regulations and fast-track developments—without proper public consultation or environmental oversight.
Does this reflect your priorities? It doesn’t reflect ours.
👉 Take action:
- Join the Walk to stop Ford from Selling Ontario.
- Write a letter and bring a sign.
- Meet at Memorial Park in Bracebridge at 11:30 Friday May 16th.
- Join the Walk to MPP Graydon Smith’s office and a representative will hand deliver all of our letters to Smith.
- Speak up now – Click to send a letter to the Premier!
- Watch for more – Over the coming weeks we will be sharing some actions and steps you can take to make sure that our voices are heard and to show that we won’t stand for this kind of overreach!
