Matt Richter kicks off ‘Imagine Something Better’ listening tour in lead up to likely snap Ontario Provincial Campaign
BRACEBRIDGE, ON: Matt Richter, Deputy Leader and Green Party candidate for Parry Sound-Muskoka, is excited to announce the launch of his winter listening campaign, “Imagine Something Better.” This campaign is engaging the community as the region gears up for the upcoming provincial election.
Kicking off Jan 20 and running throughout the winter months, the “Imagine Something Better” campaign will include a survey delivered to every household in Parry Sound- Muskoka, providing people with the opportunity to tell their next MPP what they want him to fight for at Queen’s Park.
“Like so many of my neighbours, I’m frustrated that the same issues seem to come up every election, never being resolved” says Richter. “Our current politics means that whichever party is in power forces their MPPs to walk the party line, putting the best interests of their party over the people who elect them. This approach leaves us with a long list of broken promises”
“Matt cares deeply about people in his community and is committed to hearing your concerns and bringing them to Queen’s Park,” said Ontario Greens’ leader, Mike Schreiner. “While Doug Ford’s government ignores the needs of people in rural communities with his focus on wasteful projects in the GTA like Highway 413 and tunnels under the 401, Matt is a local champion who cares about the people and places you love.”
The campaign goes further than the survey. Richter’s team will host community events, interactive workshops, and visits from Ontario Greens leader Mike Schreiner. Richter’s approach centers on listening to the people—so he can truly be the voice for Parry Sound – Muskoka at Queen’s Park.
“Our politics will only get better when our leaders actually listen to the people that represent them. As your MPP, I will always listen and fight for the things that matter most to you. So tell me – what does a better Parry Sound – Muskoka look like to you!’
The survey is available online at mattrichter.ca and paper surveys will be delivered to households in the riding starting January 20.
