Today, I’m announcing that I will be dedicating myself to campaigning full-time in the lead-up to the next provincial election. I have also hired my 2022 Campaign Manager, Maureen Balsillie Maureen Gpo, to lead our incredible campaign team.
For too long, this government has taken our riding for granted. I am committed to campaigning full-time because we need an MPP who really listens to our community.
I’ll be spending my time doing just that – knocking on doors, meeting with voters, businesses, community groups, and providing support in the community.
I’ve made the decision to commit 100% of my time as speculation about an early election grows.
In 2022, we saw the Ford government attempt to buy our vote with the license plate sticker bribe. We are seeing the same political games happening now.
Graydon Smith and Doug Ford are sending the financially elite a $200 cheque, and recklessly spending billions of dollars of our money putting a Spa at Ontario Place, ripping out bike lanes in Toronto, and paving over prime farmland and sensitive wetlands for an unnecessary highway.
My campaign manager, Maureen Balsillie, who ran Aislinn Clancy’s winning campaign in 2023 and was the Campaign Director for the BC Greens in their most recent campaign, is also full-time on the campaign.
In 2022, Maureen’s leadership helped lift the campaign, nearly winning the seat, and increasing our voter share to 40% with an exciting campaign that captured the imagination of people all across Ontario.
I’m thrilled to have Maureen re-joining the team to lead this effort.
Over the past 3 years, she has proven herself as a strategic and creative campaigner and I’m certain her leadership and experience will make this a campaign to be reckoned with
