Dec 3: Student Climate Action Plan Webinar

You’re Invited!

We are hosting a Covid-friendly follow up to our June 2019 Climate Action Conference. Please join us on line and support student action.

Student Senators, elected at their seven respective High Schools in the Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB), have developed a comprehensive, board-wide Climate Action Plan. Their goals of sustainability and accountability are anchored in climate science and will have far-reaching positive impacts if implemented.  This student leadership deserves our attention.

We invite you, the community, to join representatives of the G7 Student Senate and their staff advisor for an in-depth insight into this student-generated TLDSB Climate Action Plan. This free 1-hour webinar on Thursday, Dec. 3 at 7:30 is the second in a series hosted by Parry Sound Muskoka Green Party of Ontario a  follow up to the highly successful and widely attended Climate Action Conference held in June 2019, side-lined this past June by covid.   In place of the conference, these non-partisan webinars will continue to engage our communities in hopeful ways to propel action forward on issues that matter to our community.

This issue matters. Students can’t wait until they are old enough to hold political power and make change.  They are calling for our climate action now.  Let’s listen and respond to our young people bringing fresh energy,  and urgency to the need for local climate action throughout our education system, throughout our communities.
